𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐞 – 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Today’s solo hike up Helvellyn via Striding Edge and Swirral Edge was nothing short of spectacular.

Perfect conditions from start to finish, with crisp winter light washing over the fells and making Red Tarn look absolutely unreal. One of those days where you stop more than usual, just to take it all in.

Even better — hardly anyone about on Striding Edge, so I almost had the ridge to myself. Quiet, dramatic and properly special.
